Tarkhankutskyi Lighthouse from Ukraine

 

Situated on Crimea's west, the Tarkhankutsky peninsula is the least populated area. The main attraction of Trakhankut Cape is the old white lighthouse, built in 1816. It stands at the western corner of the diamond-shaped Crimean peninsula, a dangerous headland that sailors called "Chortovim Misom" (Devil's Cape). In October 2010 Ukranian Post has issued a minisheet to celebrate the Lighthouses of Ukraine, of which the stamp used on the two cards is part of. Both cards represent the same building by night and by day.

American Bulldog from Ukraine

 

In 2008 Ukrainian Poshta issued a minisheet to celebrate the man's best friend: a set of 6 stamps depicting 6 different dog breeds. On this card it's the American Bulldog, a stocky, well built dog with powerful jaws. The American Bulldog’s talents are hunting, watchdog, tracking, weight pulling and guarding.

Traditional National Costumes from Ukraine

In 2008, Ukrposhta issued a beautiful sheet of 12 stamps to celebrate traditional head coverings from the region of Rivne. Three of these stamps have been used on this postcard. On the front of it, a woman with a traditional national costume, which is usually worn for festivals, special occasions and holidays.

 

On this second different card there is the reprint of a Ukrainian girl in 1916, together with two other stamps from the same series mentioned above.
