Winslow Homer's Works from the U.S.A.

Winslow Homer (1836-1910) was an American painter and nowadays a preeminent figure in American art. On the postcard, a detail of "Snap the Whip" (1872), that is considered one of his finest works. The stamp, which is the ninth in the American Treasures series, features "Boys in a Pasture", an 1874 oil-on-canvas painting by Homer. The stamp was issued in 2010 by US Postal Service.
