Posta Romana has issued a great minisheet to celebrate this UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011. This was a joint stamp issue with Deutsche Post too. Biertan is one of the most important Saxon villages with fortified churches in Transylvania. It has been listed as an UNESCO WHS in 1993.
