Nidaros Cathedral is the northernmost medieval cathedral in the world. It is located in Trondheim, one of the most populous cities in Norway. Both card and stamp, the latter issues in April 2012 by Posten, show a view of the church, west front. The facade is enriched with 57 different sculptures, depicting both biblical and historical characters. Since 1814, all Norwegian coronations take place in Nidaros Cathedral as stated in the Norwegian Constitution.
