Atomium from Belgium

The Atomium was built to celebrate the international exhibition held in Brussels in 1958. Visitors can access the spheres via escalators and stairs and enjoy a nice view of the city from the top one. The Atomium represents a unit of iron crystal magnified 165 billion times! It's 102 meters high and each sphere diameter is 18 meters. The whole structure weighs 2200 tonnes. The stamp is part of the series "Highlights of Belgium", issued as a booklet in 2011.
